Dr. Joel Gregory is a professor of preaching at Truett Seminar and Distinguished Fellow of Georgetown College, Georgetown, KY. He is founder and president of Joel Gregory Ministries, a ministry of speaking, teaching, writing, media, internet, consulting, homiletical education, and ministerial counseling. He is former pastor of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, TX, and the former president of the Baptist General Convention of Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy from Baylor University, where he held a faculty position of professor of preaching, and received a Master’s of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Literature from California Graduate School of Theology. Dr. Gregory is the author of five books and editor of two.
